Background of the Case Study
The client this case study is based on is a temperature-controlled logistics specialist that has been established for many years. Due to the specific nature of the business, precision and time was of high consideration for RPMG. During 2022, our client acquired another organization into their extensive portfolio.
RPMG were employed to support the rebrand of the location, to clean and refresh the cladding before new signage was fitted. This longstanding organisation chose RPMG to complete the works in Broxburn, Edinburgh in the short period of 2 weeks, to the highest quality. As always, RPMG delivered.
Completed Works
RPMG’s scope of works included:
- Rebranding the location.
- Cladding Cleaning was completed by the specialist cleaning team to ensure the best quality and delivery.
- Removal of existing signage, repairing and making good of the cladding panels with specialist repairs by the maintenance team.
- Refreshing of cladding colors to protect and improve the appearance of the site. The site required a specific color match by the maintenance team.
What challenges did we face and overcome?
Live Distribution Environment:
The works were conducted in a live operational environment temperature-controlled logistics depot, this caused for persistent coordination with site and navigating potential disruptions due to the high volume of operational traffic around the area.
We navigated these issues in various ways to ensure a safe environment, including the use of barriers around site to warrant employee & public safety throughout.Distribution Park Location:
The works were completed at peak working hours in a busy location, meaning we had to ensure the works were time efficient, whilst ensuring operations could remain consistent within the location.
Management and supervision of the site as well as having safe systems of working in place. Clear communication with the client and their employees was imperative.
Short Lead Time:
The project needed to be completed in a time efficient manner due to the location and type of works being completed.
Strong preparation and organisation allowed us to overcome this.Nature of works:
The removal of the old signage and recovering the existing cladding panels did not come without complications as these works are not typically 'easy’.
To solve this RPMG repaired the panels using specialists and restored them to where they should be, as after all we are the experts! Why were RPMG's services essential?
